December 2009
Hi All,
Doesn’t time fly
when you’re enjoying yourself or, is it that age thing that creeps up on us?
May and I want to
wish you all a very Merry and Happy Christmas and also all the very
best wishes and good luck for the New Year. Thank you so much for all your
support and wonderful friendship not only for this year but for all the years
that we have shared together. We would also like to thank in particular the
dear friends that due to illness have not been able to make it to the classes
and socials for sometime; we do miss you and wish you a very speedy recovery.
2009 was really a very tough year for many of us due mainly to the financial
crisis etc and the knock on effect it caused. Let’s hope the following years
will be kinder to us?
We’d also like to
take this opportunity to thank Joan and Pete for their invaluable help through
2009 and also Hilary for keeping the Saturday nights going
whilst we were doing our festivals. As you know we only ran one trip this year
which was up to Scotland to a lovely hotel in Perth. Many thanks to everyone that came for
making it a brilliant weekend, there were some brilliant outfits for the fancy
dress evenings. For 2010 we’ve still got availability for the Lakes trip April
30th – May 3rd to the Cumbria Grand Hotel. I’m hoping to
organize a lake cruise party on one of the days as something different? This of
course will be dependant on numbers. We are looking at trying other locations
for trips with the same quality and will let you know as soon as we have more
information.
We hope to be back
in our house before Christmas then I’ll be able to catch up with
emails etc and also hotels in Belgium as I’ve had requests for another trip over
there. So I am sorry if you have sent messages that I haven’t responded to yet.
Please note that
we are awaiting confirmation regarding other events we normally help
with and will let you know about them as soon as can.
Thanks once again
for your brilliant friendship, have a great Christmas and the very of luck for
the New Year.
Dave
