Fun Contra Partner Dance

Music: Any suitable Cajun/Hillbilly/ Schottische/Rock that makes the dance fun.

Start position: Facing partner

1-2            Clap hands. Tap right elbow with left hand.

3-4            Clap hands. Tap left elbow with right hand.

5-6            Clap hands. Touch head with both hands.

7-8            Touch shoulders with both hands. Place hands on hips.

9-10          Bump hips to left twice.

11-12        Bump hips to right twice.

13              Swing left arm down across front of body in arcing movement.

14              Swing right arm down across front of body in arcing movement.

                  (Arms bent and done in a thrusting style)

15-18                    Link right arm with partners’ right arm as you step towards each other stepping right, left and  reel round half turn right stepping right, left.  (As you change places you release right arms)

19-22                Link left arms as you step towards each other stepping right, left and reel round half turn left stepping right, left. (Release arms as you finish turn and are back in place facing your partner)
